PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE CAMSHAFT

  2. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND TURBOCHARGER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE EXHAUST FUEL ADDITION INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR SEAL

    Click here

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 GLOW PLUG CONNECTOR

  6. REMOVE GLOW PLUG ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Uniformly loosen the 10 cylinder head set bolts in several steps, in the order shown in the illustration.

    2. Remove the 10 cylinder head set bolts and plate washers.

      Note

      Head warpage or cracking could result from removing bolts in the incorrect order.

  8. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD GASKET


    1. Remove the cylinder head gasket.
