MASS AIR FLOW METER ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT MASS AIR FLOW METER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Read the value of the Data List item MAF using the GTS.


      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      3. Turn the GTS on.

      4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / MAF.


        Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Data List
        Tester Display
        MAF
      5. A01LV4ZC01
        A01M03W Air

        Blow air into the mass air flow meter sub-assembly and check that the value of MAF fluctuates.

        If the result is not as specified, check the mass air flow meter sub-assembly, wire harness and ECM.
