STARTER(w/ Stop And Start System) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the starter assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the connector.

    3. Connect terminal 30 with the nut.

      Torque:
      9.8 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf }

    4. Close the terminal cap.

    5. Engage the 2 clamps.

  2. INSTALL FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER


    1. A012F3J

      Insert the protruding portion of the flywheel housing side cover into the end of the cylinder block and while pushing it along the cylinder block, engage the claw with the cylinder block.

      Note


      • Make sure that the claw makes a click sound, indicating a tight fit.

      • Replace the flywheel housing side cover with a new one if it does not engage securely or is deformed.

  3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
