IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL SPARK PLUG

   
   

   1. Using a 14 mm spark plug wrench, install the 4 spark plugs to the cylinder head sub-assembly

      Torque:

      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      
      

      • If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it.

      • Install the same parts in the same combination to the original locations.

      Tech Tips

      Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the spark plug Click here.

2. INSTALL NO. 1 IGNITION COIL

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Ignition Coil Assembly Body
      *b	Plug Cap

      Install the 4 No. 1 ignition coils to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:

      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

      • If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it.

      • Install the same parts in the same combination to the original locations.

      Tech Tips

      Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the ignition coil assembly Click here.

   2. Connect the 4 No. 1 ignition coil connectors.

   3. Engage the clamp and install the wire harness to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
