MASS AIR FLOW METER(w/o Glow Plug Controller) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT MASS AIR FLOW METER SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Check the mass air flow value.

      
      

      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      3. Turn the GTS on.

      4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / All Data / MAF.

         
         Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Data List

         Tester Display
         MAF

      5. 

         Blow air into the MAF meter and check that the MAF value fluctuates.

         If the result is not as specified, check the MAF meter, or wiring and ECM.
