WATER PUMP INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. A01TBINC01
      *a Protrusion

      Align the protrusion of a new gasket with the cutout in the timing chain cover sub-assembly and install the gasket in the groove of the timing chain cover sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Be sure to clean the contact surfaces.

    2. A01TAJ8N01

      Install the engine water pump assembly with the 5 bolts.

      Torque:
      Bolt A
      25.5 N*m  { 260 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt B
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt Length
      Item Length
      Bolt A 35 mm (1.38 in.)
      Bolt B 25 mm (0.984 in.)

  2. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

  4. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK
