RADIATOR(except Sedan) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FAN SHROUD


    1. Install the fan shroud to the radiator assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the 3 lower radiator supports.

    2. Install the radiator assembly with the fan shroud.

      Note

      For vehicles with the air conditioning system, do not apply excessive force to the condenser assembly or pipe when installing the radiator assembly.

    3. Connect the 2 clamps.

    4. Connect the cooling fan motor connector.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 FAN SHROUD


    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the No. 2 fan shroud with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

    2. Install the radiator support cushion.

  4. CONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose and slide the clip to secure it.

    2. Connect the clamp.

  5. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose and slide the clip to secure it.

  6. CONNECT NO. 3 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 3 radiator hose and slide the clip to secure it.

  7. INSTALL INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR SUPPORT

  9. CONNECT NO. 2 AIR HOSE

    Click here

  10. CONNECT NO. 3 AIR HOSE

  11. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01M0ZHN01

      Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 5 bolts.

      Torque:
      Bolt A
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt B
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    2. Connect the wire harness with the 2 clamps. (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)

    3. Connect the engine hood courtesy switch connector. (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)

    4. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 2 clamps.

    5. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  12. CONNECT NO. 1 WATER HOSE CLAMP BRACKET


    1. Connect the 2 clamps and No. 1 water hose clamp bracket to the upper radiator support sub-assembly and install the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

  13. INSTALL BATTERY


  14. INSTALL THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  19. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
