INTAKE MANIFOLD INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL STUD BOLT


    1. Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, install the 2 stud bolts to the intake manifold.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET


    1. Install a new No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket to the intake manifold.

  3. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD


    1. A01M1XIC02
      *a O-ring

      Apply a light coat of engine oil to the o-ring of the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).

    2. Temporarily install the intake manifold to the cylinder head sub-assembly with the 5 bolts.

    3. A01M0CVE02

      Tighten the 5 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      28 N*m  { 286 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL NO. 3 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE


    1. Install the No. 3 fuel vapor feed hose to the intake manifold and slide the clip to secure it.

  5. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE


    1. Engage the wire harness clamp.

    2. Engage the engine wire with the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    3. Connect the No. 2 water by-pass hose to the intake manifold.

    4. Install the wire harness clamp bracket to the intake manifold with the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    5. Engage the wire harness clamp to the wire harness clamp bracket.

    6. Install the wire harness clamp bracket to the intake manifold with the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    7. Engage the wire harness clamp.

  6. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY GASKET


    1. A01LVAFC02
      *a Protrusion

      Install a new throttle body gasket to the intake manifold with the protrusion of the throttle body gasket oriented as shown in the illustration.

  7. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

    Perform Inspection After Repair after replacing the throttle body with motor assembly.

    1. Install the throttle body with motor assembly to the intake manifold.

      Note


      • Do not drop the throttle body with motor assembly.

      • If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    2. Connect the No. 1 water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the 2 clips to secure them.

    3. Connect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 TURBO PRESSURE SENSOR

  9. INSTALL PURGE VALVE (PURGE VSV)

  10. INSTALL INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY

  11. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  12. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

  13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
