GLOW PLUG(w/ Glow Plug Controller) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT GLOW PLUG ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the No. 1 glow plug connector.

    2. A01LVRS

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Glow plug assembly terminal - Glow plug assembly body 20°C (68°F) 0.28 Ω or higher

      Note


      • Do not damage the glow plug pipes as this could cause an open circuit or shorten the life of the glow plug assemblies.

      • Wipe any oil off the terminal and the Bakelite washer with a dry cloth if they are stained with oil during the inspection.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the glow plug assembly.

    3. Install the No. 1 glow plug connector.
