If the sliding function does not operate, there may be a malfunction in the sliding roof drive gear power source circuit.

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the z3 sliding roof drive gear connector.

    2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z3-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      z3-1 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      z3-5 - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 V
      z3-5 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
