  1. INSPECT COOLER THERMISTOR (SOLAR SENSOR) (for LHD)

      Component without harness connected

      (Cooler Thermistor [Solar Sensor])

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I1-3 (TSP) - I1-1 (S5) Solar sensor covered with a cloth ∞ Ω
      I1-3 (TSP) - I1-1 (S5) Solar sensor exposed to electric light Except ∞ Ω
      I1-2 (TSD) - I1-1 (S5) Solar sensor covered with a cloth ∞ Ω
      I1-2 (TSD) - I1-1 (S5) Solar sensor exposed to electric light Except ∞ Ω

      Tech Tips

      Use an incandescent light for inspection. Bring it within about 30 cm (11.8 in.) of the cooler thermistor (solar sensor).

      If the result is not as specified, replace the cooler thermistor (solar sensor).

  2. INSPECT COOLER THERMISTOR (SOLAR SENSOR) (for RHD)
