COMPRESSOR(for ZR Series Engine) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT COMPRESSOR FOR METALLIC SOUND

   
   

   1. Check if an abnormal metallic sound from the compressor is heard when the A/C switch is on and the compressor operating.

      If an abnormal metallic sound is heard, replace the compressor assembly with pulley.

2. INSPECT REFRIGERANT PRESSURE

   
   

   1. Inspect the refrigerant pressure Click here.

3. INSPECT FOR LEAKAGE OF REFRIGERANT

   
   

   1. Using a halogen leak detector, check for leakage of refrigerant.

      If there is any leakage, replace the compressor assembly with pulley.

4. INSPECT COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITH PULLEY

   
   

   1. Check the operation of the compressor assembly with pulley.

      
      

      1. Start the engine.

      2. Inspect the compressor pulley.

         If the result is not as specified, replace the compressor assembly with pulley.
