Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

  • A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

    1. Align the claw with the adjuster positioning hole and install the anchor adjuster with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      First install the lower bolt, and then install the upper bolt.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    Note

    When installing the retractor, make sure the claws of the vehicle (labeled "a" in the illustration) only contact the installation areas of the retractor.


    1. Align the seat outer belt positioning holes with the claws and install the retractor of the seat outer belt with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      for bolt A
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 30 in.*lbf }
      for bolt B
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      First install bolt A, and then install bolt B.

      Connect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

      Install the shoulder anchor to the shoulder belt anchor adjuster with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
