  1. INSPECT PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Component without harness connected

      (Pre-collision System Cancel Switch Assembly)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      8 (ECU) - 5 (GND) Pre-collision system cancel switch not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
      Pre-collision system cancel switch pressed Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the pre-collision system cancel switch assembly.

    2. Apply battery voltage to the pre-collision system cancel switch assembly and check that it illuminates.

      OK
      Tester Connection Switch Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 7 (ILL+) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (ILL-) Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the pre-collision system cancel switch assembly.
