PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1AAF

DTC Code DTC Name
C1AAF Heater Activation Relay Open

DESCRIPTION

The pre-collision city sensor turns the pre-collision city heater on and off by operating the TSS C HTR relay (relay).

When the pre-collision city sensor detects a malfunction in the TSS C HTR relay (relay) coil side circuit, C1AAF is output.

DTC No. DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1AAF

Either of the following conditions is met:

  1. When the pre-collision city heater receives an operation request, the BUZ terminal voltage of the pre-collision city sensor is continuously 1.368 V or higher for 5 seconds or more

  2. When the pre-collision city heater receives a non-operation request, the BUZ terminal voltage of the pre-collision city sensor is continuously 0.145V or higher for 5 seconds or more

  • TSS C HTR relay (relay)

  • Pre-collision city sensor

  • Harness or connector

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • When replacing the pre-collision city sensor, replace it with a new one and be sure to initialize the settings. If a pre-collision city sensor which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the pre-collision city sensor will not match the information from the vehicle and, as a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the pre-collision city sensor has been replaced, or the windshield glass has been replaced or removed/installed, be sure to perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE (BUZ TERMINAL)

    1. A002MHSC04
      *a

Front view of wire harness connector

      (to Pre-collision City Sensor)

Disconnect the Q12 pre-collision city sensor connector.

      Note

DTCs may be output when connectors are disconnected during inspection. Therefore, be sure to clear the DTCs using the GTS once the inspection has been completed.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
Q12-8 (BUZ) - Body ground Ignition switch is ON 11 to 14 V
Ignition switch off Below 1 V
    3. Connect the Q12 pre-collision city sensor connector.
