PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Check pre-collision system cancel switch assembly (warning timing adjustment)


      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      2. Operate the pre-collision system cancel switch to change the warning timing of the pre-collision system between 3 levels and check that the warning timing adjustment display on the multi-information display changes between "Far", "Medium" and "Near".

        Tech Tips


        • The warning timing setting is displayed for 6 seconds on the multi-information display.

        • "Medium" is the default setting.

      Check pre-collision system cancel switch assembly (system on/off)


      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      2. Press and hold the pre-collision system cancel switch assembly for 3 seconds or more and check that the PCS warning light in the combination meter assembly illuminates and "PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM TURNED OFF" is displayed in the multi-information display.

        Tech Tips

        If the ignition switch is turned off with the pre-collision system off, the system will turn on when the ignition switch is turned to ON again.
