LIGHTING SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION

    Note

    Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the initial setting.

    Tech Tips

    The interior light control illuminates the lights and parts below.


    • Engine switch illumination*1

    • Map light

    • No. 1 room light

    • No. 1 interior illumination light assembly LH/RH

    • Console box illumination light assembly*2

    • *2: w/ Console Box Lid


    1. The operation and operating condition of this control are described below.

      Operation Condition
      Lights fade in and illuminate constantly Any door is opened when all the doors are closed.
      Lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out

      When any of the following conditions is met:


      • The key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area when the ignition switch is off and all the doors are closed. (w/ Entry and Start System)

      • Any door is unlocked when the ignition switch is off and all the doors are closed and locked.

      • The ignition switch is turned from ACC to off when all doors are closed.

      • All the doors are closed when any door is opened and the ignition switch is off.
      Lights fade out immediately

      When either of the following conditions is met:


      • The ignition switch is turned from off to ACC when all the doors are closed.

      • All the doors are locked when the ignition switch is off, all the doors are closed and any door is unlocked.

  2. CHECK BATTERY SAVING CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION


    1. The battery saving control (basic function) illuminates the lights and parts below.


      • Engine switch illumination*1

      • No. 1 interior illumination light assembly LH/RH

      • Console box illumination light assembly*2


      • *1: w/ Entry and Start System

      • *2: w/ Console Box Lid


      1. The operation and operating condition of this control are described below.

        Operation Condition
        Battery saving (basic function)

        The doors remain in the same condition for 20 minutes and the key is outside the vehicle exterior detection area.*1

        The doors remain in the same condition for 20 minutes and the key is not inserted into the ignition key cylinder.*2

    2. The battery saving control (interior light auto cut function) illuminates the lights and parts below.


      • Map light assembly

      • No. 1 room light assembly

      • No. 2 room light assembly

      • Vanity light LH/RH

      • Courtesy light assembly LH/RH*

      1. The operation and operating condition of this control are described below.

        Operation Condition
        Battery saving (interior light auto cut function) 20 minutes has elapsed since the ignition switch was turned off, regardless of whether the doors are open or closed and regardless of the map light switch position.
