  1. PRECAUTION FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note


    • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work. Click here

    • When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal while performing repairs, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Click here

  2. PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING THE INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. When using the intelligent tester with the ignition switch off to troubleshoot: Connect the intelligent tester to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the intelligent tester and vehicle begins.

    2. After all DTCs are cleared, check if the trouble occurs again 6 seconds after turning the ignition switch on (IG).
