DESCRIPTION

This circuit sends the park/neutral position switch assembly signals to the clearance warning ECU.

  1. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. A002NZZE01

      Remove the park/neutral position switch assembly Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 (PL) - 1 (RB) Shift lever in P Below 1 Ω
      2 (RL) - 1 (RB) Shift lever in R Below 1 Ω
      3 (PL) - 1 (RB) Shift lever not in P 10 kΩ or higher
      2 (RL) - 1 (RB) Shift lever not in R 10 kΩ or higher

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH - BATTERY)

      Disconnect the C23 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      C23-1 (RB) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      C23-1 (RB) - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 V

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH)


    1. Disconnect the H95 clearance warning ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the C23 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H95-7 (PL) - C23-3 (PL) Always Below 1 Ω
      H95-23 (RL) - C23-2 (RL) Always Below 1 Ω
      H95-7 (PL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H95-23 (RL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
