VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Brake Warning Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is connected to the combination meter via CAN communication.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

   
   

   1. Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output Click here.

      Result
      Result Proceed to DTCs are not output. A DTCs are output. B

   INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Click here

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (BRAKE WARNING LIGHT)

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   3. Select the Active Test on the GTS Click here.

   4. Select the Data List on the GTS Click here.

   5. Check the operating condition of the brake warning light when operating it using the GTS.

      Result
      Result Proceed to Brake Warning Light in the Data List does not change using the Active Test. A Brake Warning Light in the Data List turns ON/OFF using the Active Test. B

3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Turn the ignition switch off.

   2. Perform an Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the GTS Click here.

   3. Check the combination meter assembly.

      OK
      The brake warning light turns on or off in accordance with the Active Test operation.
