MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT TRANSAXLE OIL


    1. Stop the vehicle on a level surface.

    2. Remove the engine under cover Click here.

      *1 Filler Plug

      Remove the transmission filler plug and gasket.

      Tech Tips

      Perform this step through the service hole in the engine under cover.

    4. A002PIY

      Check that the oil level is within 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the bottom of the transmission filler plug opening.

      Note

      An excessively large or small amount of oil may cause problems.

    5. Check for oil leakage when the oil level is low.

    6. Install a new gasket and the transmission filler plug.

      Torque:
      39 N*m  { 400 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf }
