DATA LIST
Note
In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.
Tech Tips
Using the GTS to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Chassis / PCS/LDA/RSA/LVN / Data List.
Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

ACTIVE TEST
Tech Tips
Using the GTS to perform Active Tests allows relays, VSVs, actuators and other items to be operated without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active Tests early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be displayed while performing Active Tests.
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Chassis / PCS/LDA/RSA/LVN / Active Test.
Perform Active Test according to the display on the GTS.
Tech Tips
The ignition switch must be turned ON to proceed with the Active Test using the GTS.
| Tester Display | Test Part | Control Range | Diagnostic Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| PCS Buzzer Request | Sounds pre-collision city buzzer | ON/OFF | Test possible with ignition switch ON, vehicle stopped |
| Meter Buzzer Request | Sounds lane departure alert buzzer | ON/OFF | Test possible with ignition switch ON, vehicle stopped |
| Automatic High Beam | Operates automatic high beam system | ON/OFF | This Active Test can only be performed when the ignition switch is ON, the vehicle is stopped and the area around the vehicle is dark. (Normal system operation conditions, such as vehicle speed and shift lever position, do not need to be met.) |
Note
The pre-collision safety city sensor detects that the area around the vehicle is dark when it is covered by a cloth. However, covering the pre-collision safety city sensor may cause a warning message to be displayed on the multi-information display. This Active Test cannot be performed if the warning message is displayed.
