SPEED LIMITER SYSTEM ROAD TEST


  1. INSPECT SET FUNCTION


    1. Turn the speed limiter main switch on.

    2. Drive the vehicle at 30 km/h or more, or 20 mph or more.

    3. A002MZB

      Press the cruise control switch to -SET.

    4. Check that the vehicle speed is limited to the set speed.

  2. INSPECT ACCELERATION FUNCTION


    1. Turn the speed limiter main switch on.

    2. Drive the vehicle at 30 km/h or more, or 20 mph or more.

    3. A002MZB

      Press the cruise control switch to -SET.

    4. A002O2D

      Check that the vehicle limit speed increases by 5 km/h or 5 mph at regular intervals while the cruise control switch is pushed to +RES, and that the vehicle speed is limited to the newly set speed when the switch is released.

    5. Momentarily press the cruise control switch upward to +RES and immediately release it. Check that the vehicle limit speed increases by about 1 km/h or 1 mph (Tap-up function).

  3. INSPECT COAST FUNCTION


    1. Turn the speed limiter main switch on.

    2. Drive the vehicle at 30 km/h or more, or 20 mph or more.

    3. A002MZB

      Press the cruise control switch to -SET.

    4. Check that vehicle limit speed decreases by 5 km/h or 5 mph at regular intervals while the cruise control switch is pushed to -SET, and that the vehicle speed is limited to the newly set speed when the switch is released.

    5. Momentarily press the cruise control switch downward to -SET and immediately release it. Check that the vehicle limit speed decreases by about 1 km/h or 1 mph (Tap-down function).

  4. INSPECT CANCEL FUNCTION


    1. Turn the speed limiter main switch on.

    2. Drive the vehicle at 30 km/h or more, or 20 mph or more.

      Press the cruise control switch to -SET.

    4. When performing one of the following, check that the speed limiter system is canceled and that the normal driving mode is reset.


      • Turning the speed limiter main switch off

      • A002OF6

        Pushing the cruise control switch on

      • A002N2P

        Pulling the cruise control switch to CANCEL

  5. INSPECT RESUME FUNCTION


    1. Turn the speed limiter main switch on.

    2. Drive the vehicle at 30 km/h or more, or 20 mph or more.

    3. A002MZB

      Press the cruise control switch to -SET.

    4. A002N2P

      Pull the cruise control switch to CANCEL.

    5. A002O2D

      After the cruise control switch is pushed to +RES at a driving speed of 30 km/h or more, or 20 mph or more, check that the vehicle restores the limit speed from before the cancellation.

  6. INSPECT OVERRIDE FUNCTION


    1. Turn the speed limiter main switch on.

    2. Drive the vehicle at 30 km/h or more, or 20 mph or more.

    3. A002MZB

      Press the cruise control switch to -SET.

    4. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and check that the vehicle accelerates beyond the limit speed.
