LANE DEPARTURE ALERT SYSTEM UTILITY

Note

  • If "Pre-collision City Sensor Learning" is not performed, all systems using the pre-collision city sensor may be affected.

  • If the pre-collision city sensor has been replaced, or the windshield glass has been replaced or removed/installed, be sure to perform Pre-collision City Sensor Learning Click here.

  • When replacing the windshield glass of a vehicle equipped with a pre-collision city sensor, make sure to use a Toyota genuine part. If a non-Toyota genuine part is used, the pre-collision city sensor may not be able to be installed due to a missing bracket or the lane departure alert system may not operate properly due to a difference in the transmissivity or black ceramic border.

Tech Tips

The pre-collision city sensor recognizes the white lines in relation to the vehicle on the basis of coordinates derived from the traveling direction of the vehicle. These coordinates differ for each vehicle depending on the tolerance and installation position of the pre-collision city sensor. Therefore, pre-collision city sensor optical axis learning must be performed individually for each vehicle.

  1. Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory

    1. Before performing "Recognition Camera Axis Adjust", store the recognition camera position information, target position information and vehicle information in the pre-collision city sensor.

  2. Recognition Camera Axis Adjust

    1. After performing Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory, further calibrate the stored data.

      Tech Tips

      • Since there is a margin of error in the internal data derived from the stored pre-collision city sensor position (horizontal and vertical coordinates, etc.), calibrating the internal data stored in the pre-collision city sensor improves the recognition sensitivity of the pre-collision city sensor.

  3. History Clear

    1. If the history data status is "Yes", clear the history.
