COOLING FAN MOTOR ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT COOLING FAN MOTOR

    Component without harness connected

    (Cooling fan motor)
    *2 Indication Mark

    1. Detach the clamp and disconnect the wire harness.

    2. Disconnect the cooling fan motor connector.

    3. Connect the 400 A probe of an ammeter to the (+) wire of the cooling fan motor.

    4. Check that the motor turns smoothly when the battery is connected to the fan motor connector.

    5. Measure the current while the motor is turning.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the cooling fan motor.
