INTAKE MANIFOLD INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ENGINE COVER JOINT


    1. Install the engine cover joint.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 89 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 GAS FILTER

    A002N4L

    1. Using a 24 mm deep socket wrench, install the gas filter to the intake manifold.

      Torque:
      17 N*m  { 173 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the air hose.

  3. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD


    1. A002QDD

      with Stud Bolt:

      Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, install the 2 stud bolts to the intake manifold.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

    2. Install the wire harness clamp bracket to the intake manifold with the bolt.

      Torque:
      15 N*m  { 153 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }
    3. A002MEM

      Install a new gasket to the intake manifold.

    4. A002PR4

      Install the intake manifold and intake manifold stay with the 5 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      28 N*m  { 286 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }
    5. A002LR4

      Connect the fuel vapor feed hose and ventilation hose.

    6. A002QYK

      Attach the 5 clamps to the intake manifold.

    7. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the vacuum switching valve with the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the connector and 2 vacuum hoses.

  5. INSTALL VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect the air hose to the vacuum sensor.

    2. Install the vacuum sensor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the vacuum sensor connector.

  6. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

  7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

  9. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

    Click here

  10. ADJUST V-RIBBED BELT

    Click here

  11. INSPECT V-RIBBED BELT

    Click here

  12. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

    Click here

  13. INSTALL NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

    Click here

  14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  15. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  16. INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK

  17. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

    Click here
