DESCRIPTION

The No. 2 main body ECU receives the half-latch switch, pawl switch and lower tail gate courtesy switch signals from the lower tail gate lock assembly LH and detects the open/closed status of the lower tail gate. DTC B225D is stored when the No. 2 main body ECU receives a half-latch switch, pawl switch or lower tail gate courtesy switch malfunction signal from the lower tail gate lock assembly LH.

    1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the half-latch switch, pawl switch and lower tail gate courtesy switch Click here.

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Starting with the lower tail gate closed, open and close the lower tail gate 6 times.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

    3. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    4. Starting with the lower tail gate closed, open and close the lower tail gate 6 times.

    5. Recheck for DTCs Click here.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LOWER TAIL GATE LOCK ASSEMBLY LH - NO. 2 MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the f3 lower tail gate lock assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the L33 and L34 No. 2 main body ECU connectors.

    3. Disconnect the L36 power back door unit assembly (power back door ECU) connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      f3-2 (FUL) - L34-4 (FUL) Always Below 1 Ω
