  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH

      Detach the clip and claw, and remove the front lower door frame bracket garnish LH.

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH

      Using moulding remover A, detach the 3 claws and remove the front door inside handle bezel plug LH.

  6. REMOVE FRONT UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL LH (for Driver Side)

      Detach the 2 clips and 6 claws as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the front upper armrest base panel LH with the multiplex network master switch assembly.

  7. REMOVE POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH BEZEL (for Driver Side)

  8. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

    Click here

  9. REMOVE FRONT UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL RH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Detach the 2 clips and 6 claws as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the front upper armrest base panel RH with the power window regulator switch assembly.

  10. REMOVE POWER WINDOW SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH BEZEL (for Front Passenger Side)

  11. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)

  12. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR NO. 1 STIFFENER CUSHION

      Remove the screw and front door No. 1 stiffener cushion.

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the 2 screws.

      Detach the 13 clips.

    3. Remove the front inner door glass weatherstrip LH together with the front door trim board sub-assembly LH by pulling them upward in the order shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that the pin labeled A in the illustration is detached from the door panel.

    4. Disconnect each connector.

      Detach the 2 claws and disconnect the front door inside locking cable assembly LH from the front door trim board sub-assembly LH.

      Disconnect the cable from the front door inside handle sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

  15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the front door inner glass weatherstrip LH from the front door trim board sub-assembly LH.

      Note


      • Squeeze the metal clip to remove it.

      • The metal clip may be deformed if it is forcibly pulled.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  18. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WIRING SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the connector.

      Detach the 8 clamps and remove the front door wiring sub-assembly LH.

  19. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the 11 screws and front door upper trim panel assembly LH.

      Remove the screws and No. 1 door trim bracket LH.

    3. B001A8Y

      Remove the 5 screws.

    4. Detach the guide and remove the front door inside handle sub-assembly LH.

  20. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

  21. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

  22. REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH

    Click here

  23. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

  24. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

      Using a clip remover, detach the 9clamps.

    2. Remove the bolt and disconnect the 2 connectors.

    3. Remove the front door service hole cover LH.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the remaining tape on the door.

  25. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. for Driver Side:

      Temporarily install the multiplex network master switch assembly.

    2. for Passenger Side:

      Temporarily install the power window regulator switch assembly.

    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

    4. Move the door glass until the bolts appear in the service holes.

    5. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      Remove the 2 bolts.

      Note

      Be careful when removing the bolts as the glass may fall and become damaged.

      Remove the door glass in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the glass upward.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the glass.

    8. for Driver Side:

      Remove the multiplex network master switch assembly.

    9. for Passenger Side:

      Remove the power window regulator switch assembly.

  26. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH

      Remove the front door glass run LH.

  27. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the front door rear lower frame sub-assembly LH.

  28. REMOVE LOWER DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH

      Detach the clip and remove the lower door frame garnish LH.

      Loosen the temporary bolt.

    2. Remove the 5 bolts.

      Note

      Be careful when removing the bolts as the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH may fall and become damaged.

    3. Remove the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH and the front power window regulator motor assembly as a unit.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the window regulator through the service hole.

    4. Remove the temporary bolt from the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH.

      Remove the hole plug.

    2. Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover with the door lock cylinder installed.

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the front door outside handle cover.

  34. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY LH

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws of the connector cover in the direction indicated and disconnect the connector cover.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Remove the front door outside handle assembly LH by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

      Note

      If the release plate is not pulled and held when removing the front door outside handle assembly LH, the release plate will interfere with the front door outside handle assembly LH and become damaged.

  42. REMOVE NO. 2 ELECTRICAL KEY WIRE HARNESS

      Detach the 2 clamps and guide and remove the No. 2 electrical key wire harness from the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH.

    2. Detach the 3 clamps and remove the No. 2 electrical key wire harness from the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.

  43. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD LH

      Remove the front door lock open rod LH as shown in the illustration.

  44. REMOVE FRONT DOOR NO. 2 STIFFENER CUSHION

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the 2 clamps and remove the front door No. 2 stiffener cushion.

  45. REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and front door check assembly LH.

      Note

      Be careful when removing the bolt and nuts as the front door check assembly LH may fall and become damaged.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the front door check assembly LH through the service hole.

      Using a clip remover, detach the 22 clips and remove the front door weatherstrip LH.

      Tech Tips

      If clips are damaged during removal, replace them.
