HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. for LHD:


      1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine room.

      2. Pass the cable rear side through the grommet until the cable stopper is attached to the grommet.

      3. Pass the cable front side through the upper radiator support.

      4. Connect the 6 clamps shown in the illustration.

    2. for RHD:


      1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine room.

      2. Pass the cable rear side through the grommet until the cable stopper is attached to the grommet.

      3. Pass the cable front side through the upper radiator support.

      4. Connect the 6 clamps shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. for LHD:


      1. B001AJV

        Connect the hood lock control cable assembly and attach the 3 claws to install the hood lock lever subassembly.

    2. for RHD:


      1. B001A1X

        Connect the hood lock control cable assembly and attach the 3 claws to install the hood lock lever subassembly.

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. B001AL2

      Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the hood lock assembly.

    2. for LHD:


      1. B001AC5

        Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

      2. B0018WE

        Install the 2 bolts and nut.

        Torque:
        5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      3. Connect the connector.

    3. for RHD:


      1. B0018HT

        Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

      2. B001AFS

        Install the 2 bolts and nut.

        Torque:
        5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      3. Connect the connector.

  4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER


    1. for LHD:


      1. B0018OL

        Attach the claw to install the hood lock control cable cover.

      2. Install the 3 screws.

    2. for RHD:


      1. B0018Y7

        Attach the claw to install the hood lock control cable cover.

      2. Install the 3 screws.

  5. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 RADIATOR MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. B001A0M

      Install the lower No. 1 radiator mounting bracket with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL FRONT FENDER MAIN SEAL LH (for LHD)


    1. B001843

      Attach the 3 clips to install the fender main seal LH.

  7. INSTALL FRONT FENDER MAIN SEAL RH (for RHD)

      Attach the 3 clips to install the fender main seal RH.

  8. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER
