HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

    Remove the front bumper cover Click here.

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MAIN SEAL LH (for LHD)

      Using a clip remover, detach the 3 clips and remove the front fender main seal LH.

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MAIN SEAL RH (for RHD)

      Using a clip remover, detach the 3 clips and remove the front fender main seal RH.

  4. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 RADIATOR MOUNTING BRACKET

      Remove the bolt and lower No. 1 radiator mounting bracket.

  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER


    1. for LHD:


      1. B0018OL

        Remove the 3 screws.

      2. Detach the claw and remove the hood lock cable cover.

    2. for RHD:


      1. B001857

        Remove the 3 screws.

      2. Detach the claw and remove the hood lock cable cover.

  6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. for LHD:


      1. B0018WE

        Remove the 2 bolts and nut.

      2. Remove the hood lock assembly.

      3. Disconnect the connector.

      4. B001AC5

        Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly.

    2. for RHD:


      1. B001AFS

        Remove the 2 bolts and nut.

      2. Remove the hood lock assembly.

      3. Disconnect the connector.

      4. B0018HT

        Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly.

  7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. for LHD:


      1. B001AJV

        Detach the 3 claws and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

      2. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

    2. for RHD:


      1. B001A1X

        Detach the 3 claws and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

      2. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. for LHD:


      1. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the 6 clamps shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      2. Pull the cable from the engine room and remove it.

    2. for RHD:


      1. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the 6 clamps shown in the illustration.
