  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. DISPOSE OF HOOD SUPPORT ASSEMBLY


    1. A01WVMPE21

      Horizontally fix the hood support in a vise with the piston-rod pulled out.

    2. Wear safety glasses. Gradually cut any area between A and B shown in the illustration using a metal saw and gradually release the gas.

      Standard
      Area Specified Condition
      a 150 mm (5.91 in.)

      CAUTION:

      As metal debris may be blown outward by the gas, you must:


      • Wear protective glasses.

      • Cover the area being cut.

      Note

      The gas inside the hood support is colorless, odorless and harmless. As there is a possibility that metal debris could scatter, cover the hood support with a piece of cloth or other material.
