PROCEDURE
CLEAN BACK DOOR GLASS
When reusing the back door glass:
Using a scraper, remove the damaged clips and spacers, adhesive sticking to the glass.
Clean the outer circumference of the glass with non-residue solvent.
Note
Even if using new back door glass, clean the back door glass with non-residue solvent.
INSTALL BACK WINDOW GLASS CLIP LH
Apply Primer G to the back window glass clip LH installation area on the back door glass.
Note
Do not apply too much Primer G.

Remove the peeling paper and install a new back window glass clip LH.
Note
Install the back window glass clip LH after Primer G has been allowed to dry (approximately 3 min).
INSTALL BACK WINDOW GLASS CLIP RH
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure as for the back window glass clip LH.
INSTALL NO. 2 BACK WINDOW GLASS SPACER
Apply Primer G to the No. 2 back window glass spacer installation area on the back door glass.
Note
Do not apply too much Primer G.

Remove the peeling paper and install a new No. 2 back window glass spacer.
Note
Install the No. 2 back window glass space after Primer G has been allowed to dry (approximately 3 min).
INSTALL NO. 1 BACK WINDOW GLASS SPACER
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 back window glass space.
INSTALL BACK DOOR GLASS ADHESIVE DAM
Apply Primer G to the back door glass adhesive dam installation area on the back door glass.
Note
Do not apply too much Primer G.

Remove the peeling paper and install 4 new back door glass adhesive dams.
Note
Install the back door glass adhesive dam after Primer G has been allowed to dry (approximately 3 min).
INSTALL BACK WINDOW OUTSIDE MOULDING LH
Using a brush or sponge, coat the application area of the back window outside moulding LH with Primer G.

Note
Allow the Primer G to dry for 3 minutes or more.
Throw away any leftover Primer G.
Do not apply too much Primer G.
Tech Tips
If the primer is applied to an area that is not specified, apply non-residue solvent to a clean cloth and wipe off the excess primer before it dries.
Remove the peeling paper from a new back window outside moulding LH. Install the back window outside moulding LH as shown in the illustration.

Tech Tips
Use the same procedure as for the back window outside moulding LH.
INSTALL BACK DOOR GLASS

Adhesive |
Clean and shape the contact surface of the vehicle body.
On the contact surface of the vehicle body, use a knife to cut away excess adhesive as shown in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Clean the contact surface of the vehicle body with cleaner.
Tech Tips
Even if all the adhesive has been removed, clean the vehicle body.
Back door glass preliminary installation procedures.
Install the suction cups to the back door glass.
Temporarily place the back door glass onto the vehicle body and set it so that the gap between the body and the upper portion and sides of the back door glass is even.

Place adhesive tape on the back door glass and body panel and use a pen to place matchmarks for installation (when using a new back door glass).
Tech Tips
When reusing a back door glass, check the position of the matchmarks and make adjustments.
Remove the back door glass.
Apply Primer M to the exposed panel surface of the back door panel.
Note
Do not apply too much Primer M.
Do not apply Primer M to the adhesive.
Be careful when applying primer to the panel joints and spot welds.
Apply Primer G to the back door glass in the locations shown in the illustration.

CHECK FOR LEAK AND REPAIR
Conduct a leak test after the adhesive has completely hardened.
Seal any leaks with auto glass sealer.
