CONDENSER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

  4. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

  5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER UPPER CENTER RETAINER

  8. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER AIR DUCT

    1. Remove the 4 bolts and transmission oil cooler air duct.

  9. REMOVE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 4 bolts and oil cooler assembly.

  10. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR LH

    1. Remove the 4 clips and radiator side deflector LH.

  11. REMOVE COOLER THERMISTOR (SMOG VENTILATION SENSOR)

  13. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and hood lock support brace sub-assembly.

  18. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Detach the clamps.

    3. Remove the 8 bolts and radiator support sub-assembly.

  19. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the cooler condenser.

      Note


      • When removing the bolt, do not allow any tools to contact the pipe.

      • When removing the bolt, hold a part of the pipe near the connector.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  20. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A from the cooler condenser.

      Note


      • When removing the bolts, do not allow any tools to contact the pipe.

      • When removing the bolts, hold a part of the pipe near the connector.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  21. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the cooler condenser assembly by pulling it up in the direction shown in the illustration.

  22. REMOVE COOLER DRYER

      Using a 14 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the cap from the modulator.

    2. B00192I

      Remove the O-ring from the cap.

      Using pliers, remove the cooler dryer.
