PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the front seat headrest assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH


    1. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the foremost position.

      Using a moulding remover A, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear outer seat track bracket cover LH.

  4. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

      Using a moulding remover A, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear inner seat track bracket cover LH.

  5. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH


    1. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the rearmost position.

      Using a moulding remover A, detach the 2 claws and remove the front outer seat track bracket cover LH.

  6. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

      Using a moulding remover A, detach the 2 claws and remove the front inner seat track bracket cover LH.

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Disable the Autoaway/Return function by changing the customize parameter Click here.

      Note

      Record the current customize parameter setting (whether the Autoaway/Return function is enabled or disabled) in order to restore the current setting after finishing the operation.

      Tech Tips

      Performing the above operation causes the Autoaway/Return function to be disabled when the engine switch is turned off.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Operate the tilt and telescopic switch to fully retract and tilt up the steering column assembly.

    3. Turn the engine switch off.

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    5. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the foremost position.

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    7. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) and move the seat to the center position, operate the power seat switch (reclining switch) and move the seatback to the upright position, and operate the power seat switch (lifter switch) and move the seat to the uppermost position.

      for Driver Side:

      Operate the seat variable cushion switch to move the seat cushion to the open position.

    9. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

      Detach the wire harness clamp and disconnect the connectors under the seat.

    11. Remove the front seat assembly LH.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
