PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG CUTOFF SWITCH


    1. Inspect the curtain shield airbag cutoff switch.

        Component without harness connected

        (No. 2 Combination Switch Assembly)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        E126-16 (SW) - E126-12 (E) Curtain shield airbag cutoff switch off 10 kΩ or higher
        Curtain shield airbag cutoff switch on Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 combination switch assembly.

    2. Check the illumination.

        Component without harness connected

        (Curtain Shield Airbag Cutoff Switch)

        Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the LED illumination conditions.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → E126-3 (ILL+)

        Battery negative (-) → E126-2 (ILL-)

        		 Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 combination switch assembly.
