KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY(for Driver Side) INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Check that the engine switch is off.

   2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

   3.

      *a	Connector Lock

      Connect the airbag connector and lock the connector lock.

      Note

      When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

   4. Install the driver side knee airbag assembly with the 5 bolts.

      Torque:

      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

2. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

3. INSTALL INNER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET COVER LH

4. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

5. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

6. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE

7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH

8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

   Note

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

9. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

10. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
