HEADUP DISPLAY SYSTEM Main Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The meter mirror sub-assembly is connected to the combination switch assembly (headup display switch) via a direct line. As a result, the meter mirror sub-assembly can be turned on and off by operation of the combination switch assembly (headup display switch).

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (MAIN SW)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

      Headup Display
      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Main Switch Headup display main switch state / ON or OFF

      ON: Switch pressed

      OFF: Switch released

      -
      OK
      On the GTS screen, ON or OFF is displayed accordingly.

  2. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (HEADUP DISPLAY SWITCH)


    1. Remove the combination switch assembly (headup display switch) Click here.

    2. Inspect the combination switch assembly (headup display switch) Click here.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (METER MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY [HEADUP DISPLAY SWITCH])


    1. Disconnect the E147 meter mirror sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the E125 combination switch assembly (headup display switch) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD:
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E147-9 (SW1) - E125-5 (ILU) Always Below 1 Ω
      E147-16 (E) - E125-15 (CH) Always Below 1 Ω
      E147-9 (SW1) or E125-5 (ILU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E147-16 (E) or E125-15 (CH) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RHD:
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E147-9 (SW1) - E125-4 (ILU) Always Below 1 Ω
      E147-16 (E) - E125-14 (CH) Always Below 1 Ω
      E147-9 (SW1) or E125-4 (ILU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E147-16 (E) or E125-14 (CH) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
