    Note

    In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.

    Tech Tips

    Using the GTS to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / (desired system) / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  2. ACTIVE TEST

    Tech Tips

    Using the GTS to perform Active Tests allows relays, VSVs, actuators and other items to be operated without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active Tests early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be displayed while performing Active Tests.


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / (desired system) / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

      Illuminated Entry System Turns on the lights that are controlled by the illuminated entry system ON or OFF Perform the Active Test with the door switch in the map light assembly turned on.
      Fr Foot Light Turns on the foot lights ON or OFF Check the operation with the vehicle stopped, all doors locked and the engine switch off.
      Relay for Interior Light Auto Cut Function DOME CUT relay ON or OFF Check the operation with the interior illumination on.
