PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH

  6. REMOVE FRONT UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL LH (for Driver Side)

      Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, remove the 3 "TORX" screws and front door lock assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be careful when removing the screws as the door lock may fall and become damaged.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the door lock through the service hole.

      Reusing the front door lock assembly LH:

      Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from front door lock assembly LH.

  20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Detach the 2 guides and remove the front door lock cover sub-assembly LH from the front door lock assembly LH.

      Detach the clamp and remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

  22. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY LH

      Detach the clamp and remove the front door inside locking cable assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
