MAIN BODY ECU(for RHD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

    Note


    • Make sure that no foreign matter gets on the connecting surfaces.

    • Do not touch the ECU connector.

      B0019VB Housing Sidewall

      Insert the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) up to the position where it contacts the housing sidewall of the guide as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure to keep the angle 20° or more as shown in the illustration.

      Slide the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) along the housing sidewall so that it attaches to the 2 guides.

      *a Side A Contact Portion

      While keeping the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) in contact with side A of the junction block (axis of rotation), rotate it downward as shown in the illustration.

      Press the push area until the claw engages to install the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

      Note


      • Make sure to press only the push area.

      • Confirm the engagement of the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and junction block by listening for the lock sound.

      Tech Tips

      If a lock sound cannot be heard, visually check the lock part engagement. The engagement can also be confirmed if the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and junction block are flush.

  2. INSTALL JUNCTION BLOCK BRACKET


    1. Attach the guide to install the junction block bracket.

    2. Install the bolt.

      Torque:
      7.6 N*m  { 77 kgf*cm, 67 in.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the back side of the instrument panel junction block assembly 2 connectors with lock lever.

      Note

      Be sure to connect each connector securely.

        Connect the connector and push the lock lever to attach the claw.

      2. B0019HQ

        Slide the connector lock to attach the claw.

      3. B0019ID

        Connect the connector and push the lock lever to attach the claw.

    2. Install the instrument panel junction block assembly with the bolt and screw.

      Torque:
      Bolt
      7.6 N*m  { 77 kgf*cm, 67 in.*lbf }

      Connect each connector.

    4. Connect the connector with lock lever.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to connect the connector with lock lever on the other side.


      1. Connect the connector.

      2. Push the lock lever to attach the claw.

  14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  15. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL
