PROCEDURE

1. CUSTOMIZE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SYSTEM

   The following items can be customized.

   Note

   
   

   • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.

   • Record the current settings before customizing.

   
   

   1. Customizing with the GTS.

      
      

      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      3. Turn the blind spot monitor main switch (steering pad switch assembly [multi-function switch]) on.

      4. Turn the GTS on.

      5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Blind Spot Monitor Master or Blind Spot Monitor Slave / Utility / Warning.

      6. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

         Warning

         BSM Buzzer Volume Adjust	Medium	Function to adjust the buzzer volume of blind spot monitor buzzer.	Low, Medium or Hight	Blind Spot Monitor Sensor LH
         BSM Mirror Indicator Brightness	Bright	This item sets brightness level of outer rear view mirror indicator.	Bright or Dark	Blind Spot Monitor Sensor LH
         RCTA Function	ON	Switches the RCTA function on and off.	ON or OFF	Blind Spot Monitor Sensor LH
         BSM Approaching Vehicle Detection Timing Setting	Middle	Sets the notification timing for vehicles approaching from behind the vehicle.	Only Blind Spot, Late, Middle or Early	Blind Spot Monitor Sensor LH

   2. Customizing with the Multi-display.

      • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.

      • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.

      • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.

      
      

      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      2. Turn the blind spot monitor system on.

      3. Enter the following menus: MENU / Setup / Vehicle settings / Blind Spot Monitor Settings.

      4. Select the setting by referring to the table below.
