DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH detects a ground short in the outer rear view mirror indicator LH.

Both of the following conditions are met:


  • The blind spot monitor main switch (steering pad switch assembly [multi-function switch]) is on.


  • The current that is sent from the blind spot monitor sensor to the indicator is above a specified level for a specified period of time.


  • Outer rear view mirror LH (outer rear view mirror indicator LH)

  • Outer rear view mirror assembly LH

  • Harness or connector

  • Blind spot monitor sensor LH

  • Outer mirror control ECU assembly LH

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (steering pad switch assembly [multi-function switch]) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    OK
    NG
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH)

      Disconnect the blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the I40 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      o2-4 (OMIR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    2. Disconnect the I40 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  5. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  6. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH


    1. Replace the outer rear view mirror LH Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.
