DESCRIPTION

If an open or short in the telephone antenna assembly is detected continuously for 1 minute as a result of a terminal check performed by the telematics transceiver every minute after the engine switch is turned on (ACC), this DTC will be stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      B1573 or B15CB is not output.

    OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. INSPECT TELEPHONE ANTENNA ASSEMBLY


    1. B0019KIE04

      Remove the telephone antenna assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      4 - 4a Always 4 to 11 kΩ

  3. INSPECT NO. 4 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the No. 4 antenna cord sub-assembly from the telephone antenna assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the No. 4 antenna cord sub-assembly from the telematics transceiver.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B-2 - A-1 (ANT1) Always Below 1 Ω
      B-2a - A-1a Always Below 1 Ω
      B-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      B-2a - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPLACE NO. 4 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY Click here

  4. REPLACE TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER


    1. Replace the telematics transceiver with a new or known good one Click here.

  5. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      B1573 or B15CB is not output.
