DESCRIPTION

If the telematics transceiver detects an error in communication between itself and the center airbag sensor assembly as a result of a self check, this DTC will be stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC (AIRBAG SYSTEM)


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) for 20 seconds.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Check if airbag system DTCs are output.

  2. INSPECT TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. REPLACE TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER


    1. Replace the telematics transceiver with a new one.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the P2 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the E47 center airbag sensor assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      P2-24 (GSW) - E47-24 (GSW3) Always Below 1 Ω
      P2-24 (GSW) or E47-24 (GSW3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
