REAR DOOR SPEAKER INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT REAR SPEAKER SET

   

   *1	Component without harness connected: (Rear Speaker Set)

   
   

   1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 Always 5 Ω*1 1 - 2 Always 6 Ω*2

      
      

      • *1: for 9 Speakers

      • *2: for 19 Speakers

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear speaker set.

2. INSPECT REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 19 Speakers)

   

   *1	Component without harness connected: (Rear No. 2 Speaker)

   
   

   1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 Always 6 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear No. 2 speaker assembly.

3. INSPECT REAR NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 19 Speakers)

   
   

   1. When there is a malfunction such as noise from a speaker or no sound at all, replace the speaker with a new one and check that the malfunction disappears.

      OK
      Malfunction disappears.

      Tech Tips

      
      

      • Connect all the connectors to the rear No. 3 speakers.

      • When there is a possibility that either the right or left rear speaker is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.

      • Perform the inspection above on both LH and RH sides.
