HEATED STEERING WHEEL SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. HEATED STEERING WHEEL SYSTEM

    1. The heated steering wheel heats the steering wheel when the steering heater switch is operated.

    2. The heated steering wheel uses a thermistor inside of the steering wheel to detect the heater temperature and maintain the set temperature.

    3. The heated steering wheel's timer function turns off the heater after a predetermined period of time.

    4. When the automatic steering heater is set to on, the external and internal temperature is detected and an automatic judgment control heats the steering wheel automatically and automatically turns off after a certain amount of time elapses (a maximum of 30 minutes) when the engine switch is turned on (IG).

  2. HEATER CONTROLLER SYSTEM

    1. Operation description

      A01WQDRE01

      1. When the engine switch is on (IG), pressing the steering heater switch illuminates the LED and current is output from the steering wheel heater control assembly to the steering wheel heater unit of the steering wheel assembly. Pressing the steering heater switch again turns off the LED and stops the current from being output.

      2. A thermostat is installed in the steering wheel as a safety mechanism.

      3. The steering heater switch LED will turn off when an open or short in the steering wheel's thermistor continues for 2 seconds or more.

      4. The steering heater switch turns off after 30 minutes have elapsed since the steering heater switch was turned on.
