VARIABLE GEAR RATIO STEERING SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C15C6/77

DTC Code DTC Name
C15C6/77 IG Power Supply Voltage

DESCRIPTION

The VGRS ECU (steering control ECU) monitors the IG power supply voltage.

If the VGRS ECU (steering control ECU) detects a malfunction, it turns the master warning light on, and stores DTC C15C6/77.

DTC No. DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C15C6/77

Both conditions are met for approximately 3 seconds or more:

  • The engine switch is on (IG).

  • When the difference between the IG and PIG voltages is 4 V or more or the IG voltage is 18.5 V or higher, an open or short in the IG circuit or an internal malfunction in the ECU is detected.

  • ECU-IG NO. 1 fuse

  • Battery

  • Charging system

  • VGRS ECU (steering control ECU)

  • Harness or connector
