VANE PUMP(for 1VD-FTV) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Coat a new O-ring with MP grease and install it to the vane pump.

   2. Install the vane pump with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:

      29 N*m  { 296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }

2. CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install a new gasket to the pressure feed tube.

   2. Install the pressure feed tube and union with the union bolt.

      Torque:

      50 N*m  { 510 kgf*cm, 37 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that the stopper of the tube touches the vane pump body before tightening the bolt.

   3. Connect the 2 connectors.

3. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the pump hose to the vane pump with the clip.

4. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

5. INSTALL NO. 3 IDLER PULLEY (w/ Viscous Heater)

6. INSTALL NO. 1 IDLER PULLEY (w/ Viscous Heater)

7. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT (w/ Viscous Heater)

8. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

   Click here

9. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR

   Click here

10. TEMPORARILY INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE

    Click here

11. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

12. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

13. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

    Click here

14. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON TRIM PACKING A

    Click here

15. ADD POWER STEERING FLUID

16. BLEED POWER STEERING FLUID

    Click here

17. INSPECT FOR POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK

18. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
