HYDRAULIC BRAKE BOOSTER(for RHD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET


    1. Install a new brake booster gasket to the hydraulic brake booster.

  2. INSTALL HYDRAULIC BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY


    1. B0018LM

      Install the hydraulic brake booster assembly with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      14 N*m  { 145 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }
    2. B0019WVE15
      *1 to Right Front Wheel
      *2 to Left Front Wheel
      *3 to Right Rear Wheel
      *4 to Left Rear Wheel

      Connect the 4 brake lines to the correct positions on the hydraulic brake booster assembly as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Union Nut Wrench
      *2 Fulcrum Length

      Install the clamp with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }
    4. Using a union nut wrench, tighten the 4 brake lines.

      Torque:
      without union nut wrench
      15 N*m  { 155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }
      with union nut wrench
      14 N*m  { 145 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips


      • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.).

      • The torque value for use with a union nut wrench is effective when the union nut wrench is parallel to the torque wrench.

      Connect the 3 connectors to the hydraulic brake booster.

  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here

  10. BLEED BRAKE SYSTEM

  11. CHECK BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT
