VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Multi-terrain Select Indicator Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

When the transfer gear position is L4, the multi-terrain select indicator light illuminates and control begins.

Under any of the following conditions, the multi-terrain select system does not begin control and the multi-terrain select indicator light does not illuminate.

Tech Tips

When crawl control is activated with all of the crawl control activation conditions fulfilled during multi-terrain select control and the accelerator pedal is depressed, the multi-terrain select indicator light and crawl indicator light illuminate and multi-terrain select control enters "AUTO" mode. When the accelerator pedal is released, the multi-terrain select indicator light and crawl indicator light illuminate and crawl control begins.


PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION LINE


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and the GTS on.

    4. Select "CAN Bus Check" from the System Selection Menu screen, and follow the prompts on the screen to inspect the CAN Bus.

      OK
      "CAN Bus Check" indicates no malfunctions in CAN communication.

  2. CHECK DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and the GTS on.
